Professional Home Organizing
-
Hiring a professional home organizer can save you time, reduce stress, and help create spaces that truly work for the way you live. At Serenity At Home, we help clients declutter, make thoughtful decisions about their belongings, and create functional organizing systems that are easier to maintain. The goal isn’t simply to make your home look beautiful…it’s to create a calmer, more functional home that supports your everyday life
-
Every organizing project, and every client, is unique. The amount of time your project takes will depend on several factors, including the size and scope of the space, how quickly decisions are made, your budget, and scheduling availability. During your complimentary in-home consultation, we’ll discuss your goals, develop a plan, and provide an estimate of the anticipated project timeline and cost.
-
Absolutely not. You are always in control of what stays and what goes. Our role is to help you work through those decisions with greater clarity and confidence. Having an experienced organizer alongside you can make the decluttering process feel much less overwhelming and help you make decisions more efficiently.
-
We understand that sentimental belongings are different from everyday clutter. Our team approaches these items with care and respect, helping you determine what is truly meaningful and finding thoughtful ways to preserve, display, store, or pass along the things you treasure.
Pricing & What to Expect
-
We begin with a complimentary in-home consultation so we can see your space, understand your goals, and determine the scope of your project. After the consultation, we’ll provide an estimate based on the amount of time we anticipate the project will require.
Our projects are billed hourly, and we send a minimum of two professional organizers. Because Serenity At Home has a team of organizers, we can also send additional team members when the scope of a project allows, helping larger projects move more efficiently. Donation drop-offs are available for an additional charge.
-
No. For most projects, our team handles the planning and shopping for organizing products. We often bring more options than we expect to use so we can determine what works best once we’re in the space. We take unused products with us for return, and you are only charged for the products actually used in your home.
Time spent sourcing and delivering organizing products is billed at our hourly rate.
-
Serenity At Home accepts cash, checks, Venmo, and Zelle.
-
Yes. Serenity At Home is insured, so you can feel confident welcoming our professional organizing team into your home.
Personalized Organizing Services
-
Yes. We regularly work with clients with ADHD and understand that an organizing system is only successful if it can realistically be maintained. We focus on practical solutions that make everyday routines and putting things away as simple as possible.
-
Absolutely. We don’t believe every home, or every client, needs the same organizing products. While we have tried-and-true storage favorites, our goal is always to find solutions that fit your preferences, lifestyle, aesthetic, and home. If you prefer to minimize plastic, we can source alternatives such as natural, woven, wood, metal, glass, or other materials when appropriate.
-
Absolutely. Privacy and confidentiality are extremely important to us. Our team approaches every home and every project with professionalism, discretion, and respect. Your personal belongings and circumstances are treated with care throughout the organizing process.
-
Yes. When needed, we can help coordinate with other service providers, including cleaners, movers, junk removal companies, handymen, and other professionals involved in your project. This can be especially helpful during moves, renovations, and larger whole-home organizing projects.
Donations, Moving and Home Transitions
-
Yes. We can take donations with us at the end of each organizing day, so bags and boxes of unwanted items aren’t left sitting in your home after you’ve done the hard work of decluttering.
If there is a specific nonprofit or organization you would like to support, we are happy to honor that whenever possible. We also have several organizations and local schools we love supporting, including Humble Design, Kids Empowered On the Move, and schools in Detroit and Pontiac. Donation drop-offs are available for an additional charge.
-
Yes. Serenity At Home offers packing, unpacking, and home organizing services to make moving less overwhelming. We can help you declutter before your move, thoughtfully pack your belongings, unpack in your new home, and establish organizing systems from the beginning.
-
Our occupied home staging services combine preparing for a move with getting your current home ready to list. We help you declutter and downsize so you aren’t paying to move belongings you no longer use, need, or love. At the same time, we thoughtfully stage your existing belongings to showcase your home for listing photos and potential buyers.
-
Yes. A professional organizer can make a major home renovation significantly less stressful. Serenity At Home can assist with decluttering and purging before construction, packing belongings that need to be temporarily removed, and then unpacking and organizing your newly renovated spaces once the work is complete. We can be there throughout the process to help make the transition as seamless as possible.
